NAKHON RATCHASIMA: Khao Yai National Park, dat vanaf 1 juli voor toeristen zal heropenen, is goed hersteld in de tijd dat het is gesloten om de pandemie van Covid-19 te helpen beheersen, zei parkdirecteur Maj Narin Pinsakul dinsdag.

Vanaf 25 juni start het Ministerie van Natuurlijke Hulpbronnen en Milieu een proef voor toeristen om via applicatie QueQ reserveringen te maken voor een rondleiding door het park.
Bij aankomst in het park moeten toeristen de Thaise Chana QR-code scannen, hun temperatuur laten meten en gezichtsmaskers dragen. Ze mogen het park niet in zonder de maskers op, zei hij.
Bij het naderen van het park zullen toeristen de snelheid van hun voertuigen moeten verlagen tot onder de 60 kilometer per uur, aangezien wilde dieren al geruime tijd gewend zijn zonder voertuigen op de weg te zwerven.

Het aantal bezoekers op toeristische plekken en campings wordt beperkt tot slechts een derde van de oude capaciteit. Het kampeerterrein in Lam Takhong accepteert slechts 800 toeristen en de andere in Pha Kluay Mai slechts 700 tegelijk.
